Teen Pride Network

The Teen Pride Network is the collaborative project between PFLAG Akron, CANAPI, and the UUCA. Our mission is to provide safe activities and places for those teens in the greater Akron area who are suffering from a sense of isolation and a negative or hostile environment in their schools, families, and smaller communities. We aim to provide safe places and positive, engaging activities to give them opportunities to meet other LGBTQ teens, allies, and caring adults.

New Pride

The Pride Center offers a support group for individuals who are going through the coming out process. The group is targeted at people 18 and over, and at any stage of coming out whether it is for the first time, coming out to friends and family, or coming out at work. This is a place to find support and what you can do when you come out. Meets on the first and third Tuesdays of each month at 6:15 pm at the Highland Square Public Library

PFLAG

PFLAG is a GLBTQ-friendly organization that supports the families and friends of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning people. Their meetings are held at the North Springfield Presbyterian Church (671 Canton Rd., Akron) on the third Thursday of each month at 7:15pm. For details call (330) 342-5825.
